About
Pamela Auffray
RCC# 15405
I have worked in the helping profession for over 30 years. I have a diverse background and unique perspective which helps develop insight and motivate change. I view every client as the expert on their own healing journey, and I support individuals and families by listening, highlighting inner wisdom and encouraging resource building.
I use a variety of evidence-based techniques (CBT, CFT, Holistic Expressive Play Therapy, AEDP, and more) designed and combined with my clients particular strengths, goals and challenges in mind. I am passionate and curious in my field of practice and continue to educate myself in a wide variety of modalities. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master's degree in Clinical Counselling from City University of Seattle, with a BA in Adult Education from the University of the Fraser Valley. I am a Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP)™ facilitator, a Circle of Security™ facilitator and a Master Facilitator for The Virtues Project™. I have been facilitating personal growth and character building workshops since 1995. I collaborated with Heather Acres and Betsy Lydle Smith in writing and publishing Virtues Project™ teaching manuals. In my career I have developed and facilitated programing for parents of children with special needs.
I am the parent of two adult daughters, one of whom is on the autism spectrum (and made this website!) I enjoy walking our two dogs down at the Fraser river and try to incorporate my love of nature and mindful living into my practice.
I look forward to helping you on your journey.
